I am 19 years old living in ontario and i am thinking for buying my second car. My old car died of old age. I am looking at a different car than the one i ask about on here earlier. Its a 1999 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE GS-T. It has Turbo, FWD 5 Spd. Tan Leather Interior, Brand New Summer Performance Tires, HKS BOV, HKS Turbo Timer, 16″ Chrome Rims, Alpine Deck W/ Ipod Adapter, Viper 2Way Pager Alarm, CatBack Exhaust, Certified & E-Tested,142,000 km. looks like new. I could buy this car for 9000. Good deal? How would the insurance be if i have a clean record and took drivers training?

Waste of money. It’s probably been driven really hard, and that’s too much for a 9 year-old Eclipse…even with all that stuff in it.
I wouldn’t do it! You’re only 19, with a sports car, even though its old, your ins. would be Sky High!
The thing you have to remember is that Mitsubishi vehicles entered Canada in the 2003 model year. I would suspect that if you require parts should something need replacing, is that the dealer would have to purchase the parts from the States and that could take up to three weeks for it to go through customs etc. Stay away from the turbo…over $3000- to repair if it goes, and with 142K who knows. If you really like the product go for a 2003 Eclipse GS 4 cylinder, good pickup, better on gas, better on insurance. Hope this helps
Cheers
They want to much for the car…. 6.5k tops. Ppl have to realize when you mod a car you barely get any of it back in a resale. And alot of the time actually depreciates it more.
Also i love the look of that gen Eclipse, but the cars electrical system is complete crap.
Waste of money, and time
